3. Pelican Crossing
Pelican crossings have a traffic light, railings and zig zag road markings. They are signal-controlled by pedestrians.
If the lights have been green for some time and people are waiting to cross, be prepared to stop.
Check mirrors, be prepared to stop if the lights change to red and stop BEFORE the white line.
After the red light, you will see a flashing amber light - if there are pedestrians crossing, you must wait for them to cross otherwise you can go. Once green, you can proceed.
